like many hipsters, i learned of Emmylou Harris from one of her guest appearances on a recent album. for me it was when she sang with Elvis Costello on The Delivery Man. Since then, I haven't been able to get her voice out of my head.

The Breeders - Mountain Battles
I am very glad I decided to get this album on vinyl. it comes with a picture book with a page for each song. i assume the cd comes with the same book, but this is a big picture book. high quality, glossy photos that wouldn't fit in a CD sleeve. and it also comes with a free download of the album. when you download it from beggars group, they have a very punny message for you. but i'll let you discover that for yourself.
